3D laser scanning is a method of exterior and interior scanning which scans the surfaces of objects without contact. Instead of taking individual measurements with a laser measure or traditional tape measure, this technology maps the area entirely with each scan. Millions of points are scanned automatically and, thus, entire objects are scanned precisely and in detail within a few minutes.
In recent years, 3D laser scanning has become established as an efficient method of data capture. This process is rapidly replacing conventional site measurement and scanning methods, because the technology is fast, cost effective and highly precise.
Our 3D laser scanning service will provide you with digitally-generated as-built documentation using point clouds. Point clouds are used as the basis for 3D modeling, collision detection, reverse engineering and virtual reality applications.
